What to bring to the NC SP-FA/LV exam
The NC SP-FA/LV exam is open book, including the NASCLA guide. NCBEEC requires you to bring your own copy of each of these books:
- 2020 National Electrical Code (NFPA 70)
- 2013 National Fire Alarm and Signaling Code (NFPA 72)
- NASCLA Contractors' Guide to Business, Law, and Project Management, North Carolina Electrical 14th edition
No other references are allowed in the SP-FA/LV testing center.
The exam also covers NC electrical licensing law (G.S. Chapter 87, Article 4), Board rules (21 NCAC Chapter 18B) and the NASCLA guide.
